4. The Man with all the toys

Boating from Caversham to Mapledurham is enhanced by some fine houses situated on the east bank of the Thames. None of these houses are the same. Some are old and some are new. One of the newest and trendy houses has a range of features most of us would only dream about such as a boat house, extensive river footage and its own swimming pool.
The Cabin Boy commented “Crikey, that guy’s got some toys; I wonder what he plays with at night”. The First Mate smirked “Maybe a realistic blow-up doll with all the extra  working features ?”.The Captain smirked back “I had one of those but it kept going down on me “Lucky you then Captain” replied the First Mate.
The person who lives in such a house must have something special about themselves and that special thing must be, the root of all evil..money. This guy who is a property developer is obviously an eco-warrior for he has his own helicopter, an aqua-boat and a wacking great power boat. His own fuel consumption on a yearly basis would probably account for the carbon footprint of a small housing estate. However, it must never be forgotten, that “he who has most toys wins” and this guy is a winner, maybe he should have drafted into the miserable England football team
