15. We meet our American cousin

When it comes to gentleman all alone without female company, they tend to become braver than normal and approach women more easily. Well Jimmy did this and spotted that there was a rather pretty but plump young lady sat by herself and asked if we could join her to which she very politely   said “Yes” .Billy scuppered Jimmy’s plans by spotting some alternative vacant seats closer to the river. Jimmy asked the lady would she take some photographs of the crew a little later on and once again she agreed.
After a few more beers Jimmy asked the stranger would she take a couple of pictures and noticed that she reading a book on educational management. The Captain seized the opportunity to talk to her on two accounts. She had an American accent and worked in education and so without more ado she took a series of photos and came to join us at the Captain’s table.
Ami turned out to be a Californian girl who was with her husband on a working trip and was herself the principal of a middle school back in California. When she popped to the loo, the Cabin Boy leaned over and said “She’s quite a nice looking girl for a bit of a porker” The Captain   told the Cabin Boy “Billy you must be blind for that porkiness  is not caused by being overweight and if you cared to study her figure properly, not that I have , you would have realised that she has a bun in the oven and I reckon it’s well on to being done”.
