3. And so the journey begins

Our intrepid journey began during the summer of 2010 at Caversham on the northern shore of the Thames close to Reading,  Caversham being   the present home of the Captain. While walking to the boat we spotted a newly posted notice. The notice gives notice to a number of water gypsies that they being ordered by a court that they are to leave the land that there boats are moored on. It appears that a couple of our neighbours have become urban grasses and have turned people in for overstaying their welcome at Reading Town Council’s mooring.
